LED landscape lighting has become more popular because of improvements in this technology but also because of the many advantages of this type of outdoor lighting.
The initial price of outdoor LED lights may seem high, but in the long run they are more cost effective than other types of lights. They consume less energy so they save you each month on your electric bill. But they also last much longer than other lights so you won’t need to replace them very often; they should last several years.
When you do need to replace them they are easier to dispose of than CFLs because LED garden lights don’t contain mercury. Along with lower energy consumption and lasting so long this makes them an environmental choice.
LED outdoor lights are safer and more durable than other types of light. Because they produce significantly less heat there is less risk of burns or a fire. They also illuminate quickly. Even if they are they are at the end of their life they will slowly dim instead of going out abruptly.
